Young At Art

In 2016 Gold Coast partnered with Young at Art to provide summer scholarships for deserving children.  At that time, the facility was located in Davie, FL.  Their belief is that art is a fundamental part of a child’s complete education.  In 2021, YAA relocated to Plantation, FL. to the Westfield Broward Mall located at 8000 W. Broward Blvd., Ste. 1208. In this new gallery, children are enticed and encouraged to create their own masterpieces as they journey through each of the interactive exhibits in the gallery.

President and Scholarship Chair, Bunny Sheffield presents $3500 check for Gold Coast summer scholarship program to Marie Berlin, Director of Young at Art Institute and Community Initiatives.

Dear Gold Coast Watercolor Society,

Thank you for giving our sons, ages 6 and 8, the opportunity to attend YAA summer camp.  The boys enjoyed it and wished they could stay longer.  The staff were great and very helpful.  Overall, it was a great experience and exceeded our expectations.

To the Members of Gold Coast Watercolor Society

Because of your generosity our daughter was able to attend Young at Art camp on a scholarship.  She, like other children being affected by the pandemic, has not had much social interaction.  This opportunity has allowed her to explore her creativity.  Throughout the week, she has been engaged in the scheduled events, all allowing her to come home and share with her family what fun it was.

This opportunity has also allowed other important things to transpire.  Because of the pandemic, we have been out of work.  Since our daughter has been in camp, we have had time to find and secure employment.  I want to personally thank you with a heart filled with gratitude.

Again, what you have done for our daughter and her family is greatly needed and appreciated.  If I can be of service to your organization, don’t hesitate to ask.  I would be empowered to also Pay it Forward.

Continue to stay well and be GREAT,

A grateful family
